Reliance Jio, a leading telecom operator in India, is one of the winners of TelecomLead Innovation Leaders 2018 Award for the innovative business model for the 4G network deployment.
Reliance Jio has the world’s largest all IP network. Jio’s network will soon cover 99 percent of India’s population by making more investment in telecom networks.

Mobile data consumption in India has gone up from 20 crore GB per month to nearly 370 crore GB per month post Jio launch. Jio customers are consuming nearly 642 crore GB of data as per statistics available for Q2. Jio network carried 76 percent of total industry 4G data traffic. Jio’s VOLTE network carried 44,871 minutes of VOLTE traffic in the second quarter. Jio customers spend 340 crore hours on video per month on the 4G network.

Jio, which started adding seven customers every second reaching 100 million customers in 170 days, has more than 215 million 4G subscribers as on 30 June 2018.

Jio has assisted in India’s data democratization by bringing the cost of data to less than Rs 15 per GB currently.

Jio’s own apps have achieved 200 million downloads for MyJio and more than 100 million for Jio TV.

Jio launched world’s largest All-IP network partnering with technology leader Cisco Systems, in September 2016. Reliance Jio, which entered the crowded telecom market, is using Cisco’s innovative IP technology in driving digitisation, while reducing the cost per gigabyte by 93 percent.

Jio network is the first and end to end largest all IP network in the world from cell site to datacenter, delivering affordable voice and data services in India. Reliance Jio commissioned and operated 150,000 routers in record time.
