Sistema, MTS brand, reports 20 percent consolidated revenue growth in 4Q FY 2011.

Telecom Lead India: Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL), which operates under
the MTS brand, reported 20 percent consolidated revenue growth Q-o-Q to INR 3,923 million in
the fourth quarter ended
December 31, 2011.

However, Sistema’s loss has increased to Rs. 1,197 crore
during the fourth quarter in 2011, from Rs. 604 crore during
the corresponding quarter last year

Quarterly revenues continue to grow faster than wireless
(Voice & Data) subscriber base, which was up by 13.2 percent to 15.02
million. The company’s overall revenues continued to grow over INR 400
million per quarter over the last five quarters.

SSTL’s non-voice revenues from both data and mobile VAS for
the quarter are up by 22 percent Q-o-Q to INR 1,281 million, which now
contributes 33 percent of total revenues.

SSTL notes that the company’s net income during the quarter
was further impacted by significant forex charges accounted with respect to
Long Term Foreign Currency denominated loans, as Rupee continued to be weak
against the dollar during the quarter.

Blended mobile ARPU for the quarter increased by 2.4 percent
to INR 87 vs. INR 85, at the end of Q3 2011.

Further, the company said, SSTL’s data card subscriber base
for the quarter up by 25 percent to 1.34 million subscribers. SSTL added 0.27
million data card subscribers during the quarter, highest additions in a
quarter till date.

The CAPEX investments made by SSTL in India at the
end of 31st December 2011 stand at INR 64.43 billion.

The company also stated that shareholders of Sistema Shyam
TeleServices passed a resolution in Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) to
increase the Authorized Capital Base of the Company to INR 12,000 Crore, by
including Preference Shares to the extent of INR 6,000 Crore in its Capital
Structure.

To boost the power of MTS brand among masses, the company
signed up Bollywood Sensation & Youth Icon Imran Khan.

high-speed mobile broadband service, MBlaze in eleven towns – Jaunpur,
Faizabad, Jhansi, Haridwar, Mathura, Pantnagar, Roorkee, Vrindavan, Saharanpur,
Firozabad & RudrapurWith this rollout.
