Sprint doubles data plans again challenging AT&T and Verizon

Sprint on Wednesday announced doubling of its data plans again challenging big rivals AT&T and Verizon in the U.S. telecom market.

Sprint is offering double the data of AT&T’s recently announced promotion by adding value to the data allowances on data share plans.

In effect, Sprint is matching the price of AT&T data plans.

Sprint in a statement said: “New and existing Sprint customers will get double the sharable data, for the same price as AT&T, on the 32GB, 40GB and 60GB Family Share Pack plans. This gives customers 60GB, 80GB, or 120GB of data – at no extra cost — if they sign up by Oct. 31.”

Sprint new tariff plans

In addition, for customers switching their number to Sprint from another carrier, Sprint is waiving the access charge for handsets, tablets and mobile broadband devices on 20GB or higher data allowances for up to 10 lines.

However, there are special conditions. All devices must be purchased through Sprint Easy Pay or the Sprint iPhone for Life Plan, said Sprint.

Sprint Business Share

Sprint Business customers will get double the sharable data on the 40GB, 60GB, 80GB, and 100GB Sprint Business Share plans. This gives customers 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, and 200GB of data – at no extra cost — if they sign up by Oct. 31.

For a limited time, any business customer that brings their phone number to Sprint and activates a non-subsidized device with a Sprint Business Share plan, Sprint will waive access charges for handsets, tablets and mobile broadband devices on 20GB or higher data allowances through the end of 2015.

Customers can save even more when bringing their number to Sprint, even if they’re currently under contract with a competing carrier, and can receive up to $350 in credits when they submit their Early Termination Fee letter to Sprint.
