Research agency Ovum has released the latest forecast on 5G indicating that the growth in 5G subscriptions will be slow in 2019 and 2020.

The report said 5G subscriptions will reach 416,000 in 2019, 11 million in 2020, 84 million in 2021 and 400 million in 2022.

For comparison, 4G LTE subscriptions will grow to 3.3 billion in 2018, 4 billion in 2019, 4.7 billion in 2020, 5.3 billion in 2021 and 5.6 billion in 2022.
