Bharti Airtel continues to lead the Indian telecom rural market share in 2013, based on its mobile subscribers in rural India, according to TRAI.

According to TRAI telecom statistics, Airtel has 25 percent market share, Vodafone 23.94 percent, Idea Cellular 19.57 percent and BSNL 9.05 percent.

Out of 886.30 wireless subscribers, 359.67 or 40.58 percent are from rural India, indicating huge opportunities for Indian telecom sector.
