Motorola Solutions announced it has enlisted the support of TIMCO Engineering to serve as an independent Project 25 (P25) interoperability test lab for Motorola ASTRO 25 system infrastructure.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Compliance Assessment Program (CAP) interoperability testing conducted by TIMCO Engineering will offer other manufacturers increased opportunities to test their P25 radio subscribers on the latest Motorola ASTRO 25 system release.
The interoperability testing conducted by TIMCO is in addition to the expansive testing Motorola Solutions performs in-house as part of its regular product development and maintenance, and reinforces Motorola’s commitment to supporting DHS’ compliance program.
TIMCO Engineering recently completed interoperability testing on Motorola’s ASTRO 25 7.9 Infrastructure release. The Motorola Supplier’s Declaration of Compliance (SDoC) and Summary Test Report (STR) for this testing and all Motorola SDoCs and STRs can be found on the Responder
Knowledge Base (RKB) website.
As a leading brand in public safety communications, Motorola Solutions is committed to
interoperability and meeting its customers’ grant funding requirements. We look forward to offering interoperability testing opportunities to the industry on Motorola’s ASTRO 25 system infrastructure,” said Sid Sanders, president, TIMCO Engineering.
