Orange Spain selects Anite network testing and optimization

Orange Spain has announced that Arca Telecom has chosen Nemo Xynergy Drive Test module by Anite, for implementation in its major benchmarking project.

Anite, a part of Keysight Technologies, will work with Arca Telecom that offers network deployment and operation services to the telecom operators in Spain, to implement Nemo Xynergy for automated processing and centralized online management of collected data from the LTE network of Orange Spain.

With gathered data from benchmarking campaigns, consolidated reports and interactive dashboards will be summed up by the module.

The data will be used for optimization of the network to enhance service usage by end customers of Orange network.

Nemo Xynergy, an SaaS (Software as a Service) solution, claims to be a powerful, scalable, and easy-to-use web-based enterprise level platform for analyzing drive test, OSS call trace, small cell/DAS, and network management data.

Nemo Xynergy is divided in to four separate modules: Drive Test, Small Cells, Network Management, and CEM.

The module functions by automation of key tasks in the network management life cycle and supports multiple data sources, latest wireless technologies, such as LTE/4G and, 3G/2G technologies, and multiple equipment vendors.

The module also features a unique user-definable Business Rules Engine for aiding in customization and creative data correlation of the platform.

Orange, previously announced investments of more than €15 billion on upgrading fixed and mobile infrastructure across Europe, with commitments of $15 billion in Capex-based network investment, $5 billion of which will go only to fiber, and the remaining $10 billion will got to mobile core.

Orange also revealed that it will focus on its home market France, with Spain being its second-largest market and undergoing increasing growth, following its acquisition of Jazzte.

As of Q1 2016, Orange had about 5.4 million LTE customers with its LTE reaching 87 percent of the population in Spain.
