Bradford Networks reports 30 percent increase in network security booking

Bradford Networks, a provider of network security in
evolving IT environments, announced the close of a record-breaking fiscal year
2011, ending June 30.

Driven by security concerns around mobile device
proliferation and the consumerization of IT, Bradford achieved a 30 percent
increase in year-over-year bookings, signing more than 80 new customers during
the year.

Two-thirds of new business was from enterprises outside the
education space, spanning multiple verticals including healthcare, financial
services, energy, retail, government, manufacturing and more.

The company experienced an exceptionally strong second
half, posting 41 percent year-over-year growth and giving it strong momentum
entering fiscal 2012.

Bradford
also announced that the company is expanding and relocating its corporate
headquarters to Cambridge, MA. The move will enable Bradford to respond to
increasing demand for its products and services, and facilitate business
development efforts. Bradford’s product development and support operations will
remain at its Concord, NH facility.

As the proliferation of mobile devices continues to
accelerate, organizations of all types are tasked with ensuring these devices
don’t compromise network security, and that authorized devices obtain secure,
convenient network access.

As a result, Bradford experienced exceptional traction in
enterprise verticals (non-Education). In fact, nearly half of Bradford’s new
customers are from these verticals, including Dassault Systèmes, Florida Power
& Light, Home Shopping Network, Scholastic Books, Parkland Health &
Hospital Systems and UC Irvine Medical Center.

The Network Access Control market is continuing to
evolve. The onslaught of mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, Androids and
BlackBerrys has put considerable strain on security and IT resources, and
created tremendous need for a product like Bradford’s Network Sentry that can
provide unparalleled visibility into devices and users on a network,” said Dan
Haley, chief executive officer, Bradford Networks.
