HID Global appoints MD for Asia Pacific region


HID Global announced Simon Siew has joined HID Global as
the managing director, Identity and Access Management of Asia Pacific (APAC).

 

In his new role, Siew is responsible for driving the
company’s business objectives and financial performance as well as the
successful promotion of the HID Global brand in Asia Pacific. This involves
profitably growing revenue and market share across HID Global’s identity and
access management products and solutions.

 

 

In addition to developing HID Global’s emerging markets
and new revenue streams, Siew will oversee all functions relating to APAC
sales, technical support and customer logistics to ensure a best-in-class
Genuine HID customer experience.

 

With over 20 years of experience across a wide range of
markets throughout the Asia Pacific region, Siew brings executive management
and industry expertise that will significantly contribute to the company’s
growing business in APAC.

and product management experience across a wide range of markets within the
region, HID Global is well positioned to boost the already strong growth and
adoption of secure identity solutions in APAC,” said Tony Ball, senior vice

Based in Hong Kong, Siew joins HID Global after five
years as the Managing Director with a leading security systems, access control
and locking systems company. This position follows a long career in sales and
marketing with a focus on maximizing growth in the security industry.

 

HID Global recently announced the availability
of its next generation access control readers and credentials based on the
company’s new iCLASS SIO technology-enabled (SE) platform.

 

This platform initiates transformation in how secure
identity is delivered and managed by introducing technology-independent digital
credentials that can be deployed for use on smart phones, microprocessor-based
cards, contactless smart cards, USB tokens and related devices.
