Sprint aims more revenue from wireline for business

Sprint
American telecom operator Sprint aims to improve revenue from enterprises by offering better wireline solutions.

The SoftBank-owned company created a new dedicated Global Wireline Business Unit to provide flexible solutions to business customers.

Sprint has generated $2.4 billion in revenue from the Global Wireline Business Unit during fiscal year 2015. Rivals such as Verizon Wireless and AT&T are already making revenues from new generation areas such as Internet of Things (IoT).

The performance of Sprint in the wireline business was disappointing. Sprint has generated $840 million ($1,174 million) from wireline voice, $171 million ($213 million) from wireline data and $1,284 million ($1,353 million) from wireline Internet business in fiscal year 2015.

 

The Sprint Global IP/MLS network is a vital core business platform that is the backbone for both wireless and wireline traffic. Sprint’s all-IP network provides the foundation for converged and cloud services and is critical to business success. The majority of its largest customers have both Sprint wireline and wireless services.

Managed Network Solutions, providing the level of management support customers require, from basic network monitoring to complete end-to-end network management.

Suite of managed Security Services, including Unified Threat Management, DDoS Protection, Managed 2-Factor Authentication, and Web Protection.

Wireless and Wireline access options, including Ethernet and secure remote access for mobile employees.
