Idea 4G to reach 200 towns in Rajasthan

Idea Cellular 4G in RajasthanIdea Cellular today announced it will expand its 4G services to more than 200 towns in Rajasthan by August 2017.

Idea Cellular’ said its 4G services, which are available on smartphones and dongles, are now available in major towns of Jaipur, Bhiwadi, Bharatpur, Chomu, Ajmer, Sikar, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur and Pushkar.

Idea Cellular 4G will reach Kota, Ganganagar, Bikaner, Udaipur and Jodhpur shortly, while Kota and Ganganagar will be added to its 4G footprint by next month.

Idea has over 83 lakh wireless customers in Rajasthan.

“Idea has invested in network expansion to become an all-India broadband operator, readying our 200 million customers for the Digital era,” said P Lakshminarayana, director – Operations, Idea Cellular.

Over the last one year, Idea has more than doubled its mobile broadband network on 4G and 3G platform, and now covers over 50 percent of India’s population.

Idea Cellular said its mobile broadband data services are currently available to nearly 500 million Indians across nearly 100,000 towns and villages.

“With the launch of 4G services in Jaipur today, we will expand to other district head quarters covering over 200+ towns shortly,” said Mukul Khanna, circle head – Rajasthan, Idea Cellular.
