PureWave Networks to power EMAXX Telecom’s 4G Network

PureWave Networks announced that it has been selected by
EMAXX Telecom (Cambodia) as the operator’s 4G infrastructure vendor.

EMAXX Telecom expects to expand its mobile WiMAX network,
already commercially operating in the cities of Phnom Penh and Sean Reap under
the EMAXX brand, to cover 7 cities by year end and to attract 150,000 customers
over the same period. A total of 25 Cities will be deployed by the end of 2012.

“We are delighted with our choice of PureWave as our
4G network infrastructure partner,” said Frank May, chairman of EMAXX
Telecom Network Group.

We selected PureWave after extensive tests and after the
performance of a pilot network using PureWave Quantum 6600 Base Stations
surpassed our expectations. In addition to network reliability and performance,
the economics of network deployment were our prime consideration in selecting
PureWave as our partner,” May added.

The ability to deploy high-performing base stations in an
all-outdoor configuration is a winning combination that is greatly reducing
EMAXX network deployment costs.

This, combined with PureWave’s exciting LTE roadmap, made
them the ideal infrastructure partner for EMAXX network. EMAXX Telecom will
continue to select and use the most flexible wireless technologies to help
modernize Cambodia’s and Asia’s telecom services.

EMAXX Telecom is deploying PureWave’s Quantum 6600 Base
Stations and is planning to expand its network by a further 75 base stations by
the end of the year.

While designed to compete with top of the line macro base
stations, PureWave Quantum 6600 Base Stations are built for all outdoor
deployment. The base stations utilize advanced smart antenna technology to
deliver the range and capacity of other macro base stations, but at a fraction
of the cost and with no need for expensive and complex climate controlled
shelters.

“With EMAXX added to our rapidly growing roster of
customers around the world, PureWave is fast gaining market share and presence
in the 4G space. We take this as a testament to the economic value we are
helping our customers to create and to our innovative lineup of current and
future products,” said Peter Carson, senior vice-president of
International Sales at PureWave.
