TiVo signs several deals to improve entertainment experience

TiVo has recently announced several deals with leading telecom service providers and cable television operators to improve their entertainment experience to customers.

Liberty Latin America

Liberty Latin America, which has presence in over 20 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, has selected TiVo targeting its video customers in Puerto Rico.

Liberty Latin America plans to launch TiVo’s Next-Gen Platform in other markets across Latin America.

TiVo’s Next-Gen Platform enables Liberty Latin America to transition to IPTV and deliver entertainment to customers. Viewers can access shows and movies on Android TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.

Vodafone Group

Vodafone Group, which offers broadband, TV, mobile and telephone services to 640 million customers in 24 countries, is deploying TiVo’s Personalized Content Discovery (PCD) to deliver entertainment to its subscribers.

Vodafone is introducing PCD as part of the new Vodafone TV service in Portugal, the first country to deploy its new Intelligent Voice Search feature. It uses TiVo’s Conversation, a natural language voice solution, enabling users to find entertainment content by speaking into their remotes.

TiVo’s Insight functionality will also help Vodafone maximize the value of PCD by enabling content discovery optimization, promotions targeting and audience engagement monitoring through the analysis of viewer behavior data.

Vodafone has already deployed TiVo’s Search and Recommendations and predictions capabilities to customers in Spain, Italy, Greece and Romania.

Midco

Midco, a regional cable provider, has selected TiVo’s Next-Gen Platform to ensure better entertainment experience to its subscribers. Midco serves customers in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Kansas.

Midco will utilize the Next-Gen Platform to transition to IPTV by deploying TiVo’s IPTV solutions, including IPVOD, IP Linear, Restart, Catch-Up and Network DVR, across a host of clients. Midco will deploy TiVo’s Next-Gen Platform on managed Android TV set-top-boxes and mobile devices (iOS and Android) in 2020.

Armstrong

Armstrong, a regional cable operator, has selected TiVo’s Next-Gen Platform to bring entertainment solutions to its subscribers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland.

Armstrong will utilize TiVo’s Next-Gen Platform to  transition to IPTV by deploying TiVo’s cloud-powered IPTV solutions.

Armstrong aims to deliver content to customers from managed set-top-boxes powered by Android TV or Linux to unmanaged consumer-owned devices such as Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and mobile.

RCN

RCN, a cable operator, has selected TiVo’s Next-Gen Platform to improve content delivery to its customers. RCN will deploy the Next-Gen Platform and will roll out its TiVo-powered video solution to its internet, digital TV and home phone customers.

TiVo reported 11 percent growth in revenue to $176.2 million in the second quarter of 2019.

TiVo recently said 55 out of 56 existing North American TiVo MSO customers are deploying our high-end TiVo User Experience 4.

TiVo has revised its revenue estimate to $644-$660 million against the previous guidance of $640-$654 million for fiscal 2019.
