Mobile cloud computing at CTIA Enterprise & Applications 2011

CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS announced mobile cloud
computing and how it can benefit businesses will be a consistent theme at
panels and exhibits during the tradeshow in San Diego, October 11-13.

In addition, the Mobile Cloud Computing Pavilion will
provide attendees an opportunity to experience some of the game-changing
solutions throughout this ecosystem, from network, infrastructure and data
storage services players to those in data processing, security, applications
and devices.

The mobile cloud is becoming a vital component to many
organizations’ overarching business strategies.

According to Juniper Research, the total market for
cloud-based mobile applications is expected to rise from a little more than
$400 million in 2009 to nearly $9.5 billion by 2014, increasing an average of
88 percent annually. Approximately 75 percent of this market was represented by
enterprise users.

“The opportunity for cloud-based mobile applications
will continue to rise in the enterprise as new smartphones, tablets and other
advanced wireless applications and services enable business collaboration
anytime, anywhere,” said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director,
CTIA.

The Mobile Cloud Computing pavilion is one of eight
featured exhibit areas highlighted at CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS.

In addition to the pavilion, Yankee Group will host a
one-day partner event, “Mobile Cloud Means Business,” which will
examine the role of cloud computing within the mobile enterprise. The summit
will take place Tuesday, October 11, at the San Diego Convention Center.
