The new MT9085 handheld testers from the Japan-based test and measurement company incorporates 8-inch touchscreen for enhanced operation, as well as integrates Anritsu’s innovative Fiber Visualizer as a standard feature.

Engineers will gain from improvement in OTDR waveform analysis for ease of use and reduction in on-site work time. The main features of the ACCESS Master MT9085 testers are rotary knob, hard keys and the 8-inch touchscreen.

Field technicians can use the tool to display fiber events, such as splices, connectors, and splitters, as a schematic map. Fiber Visualizer allows technicians to conduct high-quality fiber measurements and pass/fail evaluations by eliminating complex operations, such as reading and analyzing optical waveforms. They can reduce operator evaluation errors due to automatic pass/fail evaluation based on preset threshold values.

Engineers can use ACCESS Master MT9085 testers to conduct optical power loss measurements and fiber far-end detection. The field tester comes with a unique algorithm that detects fiber events with high accuracy in complex passive optical networks (PONs) to reduce on-site workloads.

Engineers can integrate optical power meter, visible light source, and optical fiber end-face inspection function VIP (Video Inspection Probe) into the platform to create a complete all-in-one toolkit for fiber installation and maintenance. Engineers can manage measurement results at the central office using WLAN and Bluetooth connections.
