Jagdish Mahapatra left Cisco to join McAfee to head India

appointed Jagdish Mahapatra as managing director – India and SAARC. Before
joining McAfee, he worked with Cisco India for close to 12 years.

Based in Mumbai, Jagdish will report
to Wahab Yusoff, vice president South Asia and will spearhead the
company’s growth in the subcontinent. 

In this role, his key responsibilities
include driving enterprise and consumer driven product revenues, strengthening
the customer base across verticals and leading channel partner and alliance
engagements.

Before joining McAfee, Jagdish Mahapatra
was the senior vice president – IT Services Sales at Cisco Systems India where
he played a crucial role in scaling business in the IT services segment, the
company’s largest sales vertical.

He worked with Cisco for almost 12 years;
prior to which he managed the networking business for Godrej Pacific for over
three years. In the former part of his career, he was also instrumental in
creating the manufacturing off shoring model in India which emerged as a
significant game changing industry phenomenon during his stint at Larsen and
Toubro.
