SAP India unveils Mobile Solutions Center in Mumbai

Telecom Lead India: SAP India has unveiled its Mobile
Solutions Center (MSC) in Mumbai. The Mobile Solutions Center in Mumbai is
SAP’s third in the world and second in India.

 

The first center was set up in Bangalore.

 

SAP plans ten more Solutions Centers across the globe,
including upcoming one in New Delhi.

 

With this new center, businesses can connect with SAP
mobile industry experts to learn best practices and to develop or expand their
mobile strategy.

 

Also, the center will empower companies visiting to
interact with SAP solutions in the experience zone where they can gain hands-on
experience of real-time mobile scenarios across industries.

 

Customers in India are already making mobile technology
an integral part to their business strategy to gain a competitive advantage and
to serve their customers better” said Alok Goyal, chief operating officer, SAP
India.

 

The company said that the new center is dedicated to help
customers experience SAP’s mobile innovations as well as understand how to
integrate mobile solutions into their business strategy.

 

The SAP Mobile Solutions Center will help enterprises
review a mobile strategy that can provide their employees and customers
-real-time’ access to information anywhere and on any mobile device,” said
Oliver Bussmann, chief information officer, SAP.

 

The center will also allow SAP customers to familiarize
themselves with the wide range of SAP mobile business apps.

 

The MSC will showcase several SAP mobile solutions
including the SAP mobile platform, SAP Afaria, Sybase 365 Mobile Commerce
Solutions and SAP Rapid Deployment solutions amongst others. Businesses can run
their apps on any mobile device such as smart phones and tablets on Blackberry,
iOS and Android.

 

SAP leads global business intelligence market

 

According to the April 2012 report issued
by Gartner, SAP ranks No. 1 with 23.6 percent share of the market based on
revenue for 2011, reflecting a 19.5 percent growth from 2010.

 

SAP leads the worldwide business intelligence (BI)
market, which spans BI platforms, corporate performance management (CPM)
suites, analytic applications and performance management.
