Big Night Entertainment offers MICROS’s mobile payment solution powered by Tabbedout

MICROS Systems, a provider of information technology
solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, announced that Big Night
Entertainment, a hospitality group in New England, has launched Tabbedout, a
secure mobile payment solution.

The mobile payment solution can be seamlessly integrated
with its MICROS POS system, to enable its patrons to open, view and pay their
restaurant and bar tabs using their smartphone.

Big Night will deploy the technology at four of its
venues: SHRINE, The Scorpion Bar and High Rollers at Foxwoods Resort Casino/MGM
Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket Conn. and Red Lantern in Boston, making it
the first company to offer Tabbedout in Boston and in a resort casino.

“We are always introducing new technology that will
allow us to stay ahead of the curve and provide the best possible dining and
entertainment experience for our customers,” said Randy Greenstein, Big
Night Entertainment Group Partner.

“As integrated into the MICROS suite, Tabbedout does
just that, making it faster and easier for customers to pay their restaurant or
bar tabs,” Greenstein added.

Unlike other mobile payment platforms, Tabbedout allows
users to store credit card information directly on their phone, encrypted and
under passphrase protection, instead of on host servers. Consumers are safe
from the threat of lost or stolen credit cards and can open, view and pay their
tab at their own pace, and share their social experiences with friends via
Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare, all within the application.

“Tabbedout offers significant value to bar and
restaurant patrons and integrates hassle-free with our POS systems,” said
Dave Hoffman, Director of eCommerce at MICROS Systems.

MICROS Systems recently announced
that Restaurant Brands New Zealand has completed the rollout of MICROS in all
of its 98 Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) stores.

The implementation included MICROS Restaurant Enterprise
Series Point of Sale (POS), Forecasting, Labor Management, Kitchen Display
Systems (KDS), Business Intelligence and myinventory Stock Control.
