InMobi strengthens American team

InMobi, an independent mobile ad network, announced
significant expansion plans for the US market.

To help lead the company in its next phase of US growth,
InMobi has appointed Peter Bassett, former SVP of Sales at Millennial Media, as
their newly appointed head of Sales for North America.

Also joining InMobi from
Millennial Media is David Smith, who will be heading up InMobi’s East Coast
Sales. Other significant hires include Susan Kuo, former VP of Sales at Booyah,
who joins as Head of Marketing for North America; and Archie O’Conner, former
EVP of Business Development from MixerCast, as Head of Business Development for
North America.

“Mobile represents what 21st century digital
marketing is all about; simply put: global, local, social, and immersive
experiences at scale.  InMobi is committed to bringing these advantages to
its clients and I’m thrilled to join the top executive talent that’s already
onboard to further our growth in the US,” said Peter Bassett.

Since InMobi’s launch in North America one year ago,
InMobi has grown its US network five times over and now reaches over 83 million
US mobile consumers through six billion monthly ad impressions.

“By combining our existing and new leadership
expertise with our industry leading InMobi Analytics technology, we expect to
reach over 100 million mobile users in the US by the end of 2011.  We
anticipate that we’ll engage with 75 percent of all smartphone users,”
said Anne Frisbie, VP and managing director, North America, InMobi.

“Our first year in the US market was incredibly
successful. We want to thank all of our advertiser, publisher, and developer
partners for their support.  We’re excited at the year ahead and look
forward to pushing mobile advertising to the next level both in the US and
abroad,” Frisbie added.
