He is joining TomTom from NAVTEQ.
As the director of Business Development in China, he will be responsible for leading the development of TomTom’s business in China. Based in Shanghai, Kirvan will report to Alain De Taeye, Member of the TomTom Management Board.
Most recently, Kirvan led business development and strategic partner activities on behalf of NAVTEQ in China.
Previously, as a consultant based in Beijing, he represented international software and systems businesses in Asia-Pacific. Prior to these roles he managed MapInfo’s business in Greater China and Korea.

TomTom supplies in-car location and navigation products and services focused on providing all drivers with the world’s best navigation experience. Its products include portable navigation devices, in-dash infotainment systems, fleet management solutions, maps and real-time services, including the TomTom HD Traffic.
Recently, TomTom launched the TomTom Hands Free Car Kit for smartphones with audio for loud and clear hands-free calling and navigation. The new Car Kit features an advanced noise and echo cancellation system, which dramatically reduces background noise for the caller and removes ambient noise for the driver.
