Nuance
Communications announced that Nuance’s automatic speech recognition technology
is powering the new Sprint Voicemail-2-Text service for its BlackBerry
customers, giving them the ability to read their voicemail messages via email
or text message.

 

Tailored for
mobile consumers, the new service delivers the freedom and flexibility to stay
connected from virtually anywhere, while helping to efficiently identify and
respond to the messages they care about.

 

As part of
the service, Sprint BlackBerry customers receive transcribed messages via email
or text message, and can respond with a just a simple click. Further, messages
can be easily forwarded and saved no more writing down of messages or
misplacing them.

platform because it delivers fast, reliable and accurate voice message

Nuance Communications recently announced
that its automotive voice technologies power BMW ConnectedDrive, which now
keeps BMW drivers connected to friends, family and colleagues when they’re on
the go.

 

Nuance’s
connected text-to-speech technology enables the readout of emails, text
messages, Facebook and Twitter status updates, and RSS news feeds, minimizing
distractions while allowing drivers to take advantage of BMW’s in-car
connectivity features.
