Apple Announces WWDC24 from June 10-14 for Developers

Apple has unveiled plans for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), slated to take place from June 10 to 14, 2024.
Apple WDC 2024Breaking the tradition of solely virtual proceedings, the tech giant will inject a dose of in-person interaction by hosting a special event at its Cupertino headquarters, Apple Park, on the opening day.

Promising a platform for innovation and collaboration, Apple WWDC24 will be free for all developers. The conference will serve as a showcase for the latest advancements across Apple’s ecosystem, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. Attendees can expect to gain exclusive insights into new tools, frameworks, and features aimed at empowering developers to refine their apps and games.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming event, highlighting its role in fostering a vibrant developer community. “WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even more wonderful,” she remarked.

Central to the WWDC experience will be the keynote address, providing a glimpse into the future of Apple software and technologies. Developers and students worldwide can participate in the conference remotely via the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube, engaging in video sessions and interacting with Apple experts and fellow developers.

However, the highlight of WWDC24 lies in its hybrid format, combining virtual accessibility with a unique in-person component on June 10. Developers fortunate enough to secure a spot will have the opportunity to witness the keynote live at Apple Park, interact with Apple team members, and partake in special activities. With limited space available, interested individuals are encouraged to apply for attendance through the Apple Developer site and app.

In a move to nurture emerging talent, Apple continues its support for the next generation of developers through initiatives like the Swift Student Challenge. Set to announce this year’s winners on March 28, the challenge offers aspiring developers the chance to showcase their skills. Distinguished winners will earn the coveted opportunity to join an exclusive three-day experience at Apple Park, reinforcing Apple’s commitment to fostering innovation and creativity among future tech leaders.

Apple will share additional conference information in advance of WWDC24 through the Apple Developer app and on the Apple Developer website.
