LAVA brings Iris X1 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and 1800 mAh battery for Rs 7,999

LAVA International on Monday introduced Iris X1 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and 1800 mAh battery for a price of Rs 7,999 in India.

LAVA has tied up with online retail store Amazon.in to offer special promotional plans. Online buyers will get a free 16GB Ultra Micro SD card with the device which will be only applicable for orders placed on Amazon.in on 27 May.

Recently, Motorola India introduced its Moto E budget with Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, the latest operating system from Google Android.

Lava introduced Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS at a time when several handset makers are going slow with the upgrade to the new OS.

Main specifications of Lava Iris X1 include 1.2 GHz quad core Broadcom BCM23550 processor, 1GB RAM, 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS (854 x 480 pixels) display, 8.9 mm thickness, 138 grams weight, 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.4 µm pixel BSI+ sensor, 2.0-MP front camera and 4GB memory expandable up to 32GB via micro-SD card.

Iris X1 provides 3D gaming experience and video performance with help of a specialized graphics engine based on Videocore multimedia technology.

The dual SIM Iris X1 has connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 BLE, micro-USB and EDGE.

It offers OTG support to enable file transfer through USB drive on the move.

Iris X1 will be available in black and white colors.

It comes with a Flip cover powered by hall sensor that puts the phone automatically in sleep mode ensuring reduced battery consumption.
