Samsung introduces Galaxy S III at Rs 43,180 in India

Telecom Lead India: Smartphone major Samsung has
unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S3 which has been priced at Rs 43,180 in India.

 

The third generation smartphone is all set to outshine
its own predecessor, which helped the company to surpass its arch rival Apple
in terms of smartphone shipments globally. It is expected that the new
smartphone could top its predecessor, the Galaxy SII’s 20 million sales
worldwide.

 

Samsung Galaxy S III runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream
Sandwich). With a default user interface TouchWiz Nature UX, the phablet has a
4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED (1280×720) display.

 

The samrtphone boasts 8MP camera that features a zero-lag
shutter speed that lets user capture moving objects without delay. The ‘Burst
shot’ function allows users to capture twenty continuous shots. HD video can be
recorded even with the 1.9MP front facing camera.

 

The company has launched 16 and 32GB User memory
variants, and 64GB will soon be available for the Indian market.

Samsung Galaxy S III features ‘Game Hub’ and ‘Video Hub’, which provide users
access to various social games and high quality TV and movies, respectively.
These will initially be introduced in select countries and subsequently on the
global market.

 

The S III supports Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, WiFi HT40, GPS/GLONASS,
NFC and offers Bluetooth 4.0(LE). It has a Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery which can
ensures 11-hour and-40 minute talk time for the device.

Samsung will release the 4G LTE capable in the United
States (US) where the expansion of the new network has been massive in the last
12 months.

 

Samsung said it will release the SIII through 296
carriers in 145 countries by July.
