GoNet Systems deploys Beamforming Wi-Fi solution in the Nokia Arena

Telecom Lead Europe: GoNet Systems, a provider of
beamforming Wi-Fi solutions for cellular operators and service providers, has
deployed its Beamforming Wi-Fi solution in the Nokia Arena in collaboration
with local service provider 012 Smile.

“With thousands of visitors attending events in the
Nokia Arena, we needed to find a carrier-grade Wi-Fi solution that we could
count on to deliver the bandwidth and reliability,” said Yossi Ben-Shlomo,
Account Manager 012 Smile.

The company said that its access-points deliver x2-x4
range and capacity, by using its xRF beamforming technology.

The MBW access points are designed for outdoor
deployments in harsh urban conditions and equipped with special channel filters
and 90 percent effective noise mitigation.

The company said that the MBW access points can be
deployed in city centers and co-located with cellular BTSs, WiMAX and other
Wi-Fi devices without suffering performance degradation due to noise.

With the advent of smartphones and social-media channels,
real-time sharing of events through messaging, photos and live-video streaming
has become an important component of public relations.

To power these trends, the company said that service
provider 012 Smile needed to deploy a broadband Wi-Fi solution in the Nokia
Arena, in order to deliver high quality service to the thousands of visitors
attending the events on-site.

“Our Wi-Fi access points are designed to deliver
superior performance in tough, noisy conditions. As a result, it is the ideal
solutions for sport arenas, conference centers and festival campuses that need
to serve broadband wireless service to a large audience,” said Merom Harpaz,
VP Sales at GoNet Systems.
