Polaris Wireless reports 30% increase in revenue in 2011

By Telecom Lead Team:Polaris Wireless, a provider of software-based wireless location
solutions, has achieved a major increase in sales bookings in 2011.

The company said that it achieved several significant
milestones, including a year-over-year quadrupling of sales bookings and
revenue increase of approximately 30 percent.

Excellent sales performance positions the company for a
significant revenue increase in 2012 and 2013, driven by aggressive growth for
Polaris Wireless location solutions across the globe.

“In 2011, with best-in-class, field proven products,
Polaris Wireless accelerated its efforts at becoming the leading provider of
high-accuracy wireless location solutions for mission critical applications,”
said Manlio Allegra, president, CEO and co-founder of Polaris Wireless.

The company added that more than twenty U.S. wireless carriers,
six managed services partners, and fourteen international deployments now rely
on Polaris Wireless location solutions to enable emergency call applications,
lawful and mass location surveillance, and other location-based services.

Last year, the company entered into a strategic partnership with CanvasM Technologies,
Tech Mahindra’s VAS subsidiary and part of the US $14.4 Billion Mahindra Group,
to introduce the first high-accuracy, network based wireless location solution
to the Indian market.

Additionally, the company completed the field trials with Indian
wireless network operator Bharti Airtel to prove compliance with India’s
Department Of Telecom (DoT) May 2011 mandate for location determination.

The trials were conducted over a period of several weeks in
Bangalore to demonstrate the effectiveness of Polaris WLS in urban, suburban,
and indoor environments. Polaris Wireless is the only location solutions
provider to exceed the DoT mandate in all categories.

Last month, Polaris Wireless announced that it is planning to double its manpower in India
from the present 55 people.

The company has centers in Bangalore and Nagpur. The US-based
company is aiming to achieve $100 million revenue this year.
