American Founders Bank selects tw telecom for voice and data networking services

tw telecom, a provider of managed services, announced
that American Founders Bank has selected it to provide voice and data services
to the financial institution’s seven locations in Kentucky.

tw telecom is delivering American Founders Bank a
comprehensive suite of new networking solutions including Business Ethernet, 30
MB IP VPN, 30 MB Ethernet Internet Service (EIS) and digital
voice/voice-over-IP services as part of a multi-year agreement.

“tw telecom is giving us a significant bandwidth
increase by utilizing fiber optic connectivity, which will improve our disaster
recovery capabilities and decrease the overall cost of our services,” said
Tommy Burgett, senior vice president and CTO of American Founders Bank.

The new services enable American Founders Bank to connect
its remote branches and headquarter locations more efficiently, securely and
cost effectively.

tw telecom has the third highest market share of retail
Ethernet ports in service and with its own metro fiber networks and one of the
ten most interconnected IP backbones in the world.

“In just a few short years, American Founders Bank
has grown from a single-location startup to a multi-branch entity with offices
throughout central Kentucky and we’re pleased that our services will help
American Founders deliver an even better experience to its customers,” said Joe
Paulin, vice president and general manager for tw telecom’s Louisville market.

tw telecom has the national capability, robust product
portfolio and national/local customer care teams to support mission critical
enterprise applications and to deliver the most sought after customer
experience in the industry.
