C Spire Wireless launches mobile hotspot

C Spire Wireless, a wireless provider in the U.S., has launched R526 mobile
hotspot, a personalized mobile broadband device, from Franklin Wireless.

Aimed at enterprises and retail mobile users, the device
features a built-in RJ45 Ethernet port for wired connection, a replaceable and
rechargeable lithium-ion battery as well as an intuitive web-based user
interface that allows for simple set up and network configuration.

The compact device provides simultaneous mobile broadband
access for laptop computers, tablets, smartphones, PDAs, cameras, portable game
devices, MP3 players and combines a variety of valuable easy-to-use features
into its simple design.

“Franklin’s R526 offers the ultimate in personalized
communications freedom and is the fastest and easiest way to get online when
you’re on-the-go. Now you can wirelessly access the Internet from virtually
anywhere and at any time and share your mobile broadband connection on C
Spire’s personalized network with friends, family members and co-workers,” said
Wade Smith, vice president of Products and Innovation for C Spire Wireless.

Research firm In-Stat forecasts that more than 195 million
mobile hotspots and USB-enabled data cards will be shipped and in use worldwide
by 2015.

The R526 will be available at $129.99.
