Cox Business installs Voice Manager phone service at Care New England

 

Cox Business, a
provider of voice, data and video services for small and regional businesses,
announced that it has installed more than 1,400 phone lines and a second data
network for the Care New England health system.

installation of Cox Business Voice Manager phone service makes Cox the
exclusive telecommunications provider for all of Care New England’s Rhode
Island locations and several dozen medical office buildings.

secure, high capacity, cost effective network meets Care New England’s
technology needs. The flexible network was engineered to ensure future growth
while understanding the importance of reliability to the doctors, staff and
patients.

 

Cox Business
was chosen for its local customer relationship management and willingness to
customize services to Care New England’s specific needs.

Voice Manager(SM) enables Care New England staff to use five-digit dialing to
contact their own business partners across the state. The data network, Cox
Business Metro Ethernet, was added as a secure back-up to Care New England’s
existing Cox Business data services. 

 

The data
networks redundant fiber ring architecture design will provide additional
failover capability in the event of disaster.

 

Cox Business
provides voice, data and video services for more than 260,000 small and
regional businesses, including healthcare providers, K-12 and higher education,
financial institutions and federal, state and local government organizations.

International programming options for its Hampton Roads customers.
