Idea Cellular revenue up 25.8% to Rs 19,541 crore in 2011-12

Telecom Lead India: Idea Cellular has posted 25.8
percent increase in revenue during 2011-12 at Rs 19,541 crore from Rs 15,503
crore in 2010-11.

Idea Cellular’s net profit in FY 2011-12 decreased to Rs 723
crore from Rs 899 crore in FY 2010-11.

Idea Cellular’s Q4 revenues increased 6.74 percent to Rs
5,370 crore from Rs 5,031 crore in the third quarter.

The company said the quarter’s revenue growth was led by the
over 9 percent growth in voice minutes to 124 billion minutes compared to
114 billion minutes in Q3 FY12.

The mobile operator has reported 18.91 percent
quarter-on-quarter growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 239 crore for
the fourth quarter of FY12.

The uptrend of average realization per minute (ARPM) was
halted with decline in ARPM to 42.2p from 43.3p. While challenges on the voice
ARPM continue, the company remains focused to improve non-voice revenue, which
contributed 14.3 percent of revenue in Q4FY12 against 13.7 percent in last
quarter.

3G investment plans of Idea are on track and high speed
broadband services are now available in 3,000 towns and 10,000 villages, in 20
service areas (including roaming arrangements).

The company is accelerating the deployment of 3G ecosystem,
by launching Idea branded 3G handsets. Nearly 2.6 million Idea customers are
active on company’s 3G platform and enjoying futuristic services.

Idea Cellular leads Indian mobile market in net additions in
February 2012

Idea Cellular is leading the mobile services market in India
in terms of net additions in February 2012. Idea Cellular has added 2.58
million new subscribers last month. Uninor, whose licenses will be cancelled,
has added 2.34 million mobile users. Bharti Airtel has added 1.82 million
subscribers and its user base stood at 178.77 million.

Idea Cellular posts 26 percent increase in Q2 FY 2012 revenue

Idea Cellular reported 26 percent increase in consolidated
income during Q2 FY 2012 at INR 46,199 million as compared with INR 36,592
million in Q2 FY 2011.

The growth in revenue is primarily driven by the company’s new milestone of 100
million customers. However, the increasing proportion of rural subscribers has
prompted the company to report 2.2 percent sequential revenue growth after high
growth of 6.7 percent and 7.0 percent in the previous two quarters.
