Verizon Wireless to add 300 resources in Florida, 430 in Georgia

American telecom service provider Verizon Wireless today announced its plans to add 300 resources in Florida and 430 in Georgia.

Verizon Wireless is hiring to fill more than 300 positions across Florida in sales, network, customer service, operations and other technology-related departments.

Many of the new hirings will be sales and service professionals at the company’s 80 retail locations throughout Florida. New positions also include network engineers and technicians, business sales and solutions experts, customer service representatives and more.

“Verizon Wireless continues to grow in Florida and we are staffing to continue to enhance all aspects of the customer experience,” said Mariano Legaz, Verizon Wireless Florida region president.

Verizon Wireless is looking to hire more than 430 full-time employees in Georgia this year. More than two hundred of the available positions are for customer service-related opportunities at call centers located in north Fulton County.

Verizon also is filling positions in retail, network and IT.  Most of the jobs are based in the cities of Alpharetta and Milton. The company is also hiring in Augusta, Savannah, Macon and Albany, mostly in retail sales.

Verizon Wireless employs more than 4,500 employees in Georgia, and over 72,000 employees nationwide.
