Global smartphone sales will grow to 1.7 billion by 2017 from 1.5 billion units in 2015. China, India and United States are the big three countries driving smartphone growth.

Smartphone sales in China will grow to 505 million in 2017 from 458 million smartphones in 2015.
Global Smartphone Sales Forecast
The telecom analysis report said smartphone sales in India will increase to 174 million in 2017 from 118 million smartphones in 2015.

“India’s growth is being driven by low smartphone penetration, expanding retail availability of devices, wealthier middle-class consumers, and aggressive promotions from local smartphone brands like Micromax,” said Linda Sui, director at Strategy Analytics.

Smartphone sales in the U.S. will grow marginally to 169 million in 2017 from 164 million in 2015, said Strategy Analytics.
