Fujitsu set to demonstrate IP-9610 media encoder

Fujitsu Frontech North America (FFNA), a provider of
IT-based business solutions, including advanced technology products, biometric
security, and digital media solutions, announced live demonstrations of the
Fujitsu IP-9610 digital media encoder and a joint demonstration with the European
Broadcasting Union.

We are very excited to participate in the IBC show and
have the Fujitsu IP-9610 be part of the 1080p/50 demonstration program at the
EBU exhibition booth,” said Kunio Konishi, director of Product Management for
FFNA’s Media Solutions Group.

Announcing the availability of the IP-9610 to the
European market and having recurring demonstrations of its performance at the
EBU booth give us the ability to showcase the features and capability of our
top-line product to a wide array of attendees at the IBC tradeshow,” Konishi
added.

1080p/50 in a full real-time transmission chain with the
Fujitsu’s IP-9610 will be demonstrated during our daily exhibit routine,” said
Hans Hoffmann, head of Media Fundamentals and Production Technology at the EBU.

The digital encoder market is a key area of growth
within the European broadcasting community, due to the flexibility and quality
that is now able to be achieved. We are pleased to be working with Fujitsu to
raise awareness of the capability with our constituents,” Hoffmann added.

Fujitsu‘s
IP-9610 availability to the European Market is anticipated in September of
2011. Since its North American launch in April of 2011, there has been a
groundswell of demand to bring the product across the Atlantic for European
customers.

Fujitsu recently announced the launch
of an expanded access product portfolio that enables Metro Ethernet Forum
(MEF)-compliant Ethernet services to be offered across various transport
networks.

This announcement fulfills the Fujitsu  Ethernet over
Anything (EoX) vision, giving service providers and enterprises a uniform
platform on which high-growth Ethernet services are supported, independent of
the underlying transport technology.
