Wataniya taps CommProve network roaming solution for seamless roaming for mobile users

Telecom Lead Middle East: Wataniya Maldives has selected
network roaming solution of CommProve, a provider of network monitoring and
business solutions for mobile networks, to ensure better roaming service to
mobile users.

 

CommProve’s Roamer Insight software is now deployed
across Wataniya’s network to enable quality of service monitoring and proactive
network troubleshooting.

 

Leveraging CommProve’s Roamer Insight, Wataniya is able
to trouble shoot specific areas across both the radio access and the core layer
of their network, focusing on the issues with the greatest revenue improvement
potential.

 

The solution enables Wataniya Maldives to offer a
consistent and quality customer experience to its 200,000+ subscribers as well
as those that are visiting the Maldives.

 

“The CommProve Insight software is enabling us to
understand the impact of quality issues such as network congestion, and we’re
also able to reduce churn and increase network revenues. We’re excited about

The company claims that CommProve Roamer Insight presents
key performance indicator reports generated from the underlying radio access
network interface protocols for subscribers who roam in or out of the monitored
network. This allows operators to analyze where coverage, capacity, drops and
call set ups, for example, directly impact roamers.

 

“From the existing deployments and tests that we
have done we’ve found that operators have over 25 percent roaming revenue at
risk and so, using Roamer Insight, operators are able to greatly improve
network revenues,” said Lars Pedersen, CEO of CommProve.

 

CommProve customers include H3G, Telecom Italia, TIM
Brazil and Vodacom.

 

Wataniya selects Comptel dynamic SIM management

 

OSS provider Comptel announced that mobile operator
Wataniya Telecom Kuwait has deployed Comptel Dynamic SIM Management to enable
users for self activating their subscriptions using handsets. With Wataniya’s
premium first use experience, SuperSIM, each user is now able to dynamically
choose their numbers and the packages they want in real time.
