Keysight will demonstrate solutions, including 5G NR-ready testbed using 5G New Radio (NR) software solutions — covering downlink and uplink signal creation and analysis for performing base station transmitter/receiver and power amplifier, as well as component test.

Keysight said its 5G NR software includes W1906EP SystemVue 5G baseband verification library to simulate a 3GPP NR system with built-in channel model, and different phased array structure on both the transmitter and receiver side.

Keysight said the N7631C Signal Studio Pro for 5G NR allow customers to generate 3GPP 5G NR standard-compliant signals for testing transmitters and receivers with channel coding and multi-antenna port support.

The Keysight 89600 VSA option BHN for 5G NR modulation analysis offers physical layer testing and troubleshooting of NR base station transmitters and components. The 89600 VSA software can also be used to analyze 5G NR and LTE signals simultaneously for LTE-NR integration and coexistence testing.

Keysight will also showcase the company’s UE Emulation (UEE) solution, providing test capabilities including protocol and load testing for base stations.

Keysight said its Test Asset Optimization Services help companies to move from tracking to gaining full control over their test equipment. Keysight’s solution delivers real-time test-asset utilization, equipment health status, and overall recommendations on areas for savings.

“Keysight is providing solutions, ranging from physical layer to full UE protocol emulation capabilities, enabling network equipment manufacturers and mobile operators to conduct testing of 5G NR base stations,” said Giampaolo Tardioli, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s wireless chipset group.

Keysight will demonstrate its 5G Packet Core (NGC) Live Testing solution, the industry’s first 5G packet core high-scale network test solution. This solution provides mobile operators with real-time insights into their quality of service (QoS) by benchmarking the scale and performance of the core network.

Keysight’s Nemo Wireless Network Solutions include Nemo Outdoor for C-IoT field measurements in live networks to verify NB-IoT and LTE-M coverage as well as optimize network quality to ensure customer satisfaction.

Nemo Xynergy data analytics solution enables operators to perform user-centric optimization of the Radio Access Network (RAN), leading to improved quality of experience. Customers can analyze OSS data from all major infrastructure manufacturers as well as support and analyze all RAN data feeds using one comprehensive vendor and technology-agnostic solution.

Keysight will also showcase the industry’s first 5G network and UE emulation solutions that scale from early R&D testing in their ecosystems to validation and performance of the devices and networks as they are deployed.

Keysight also announced the inter-operability testing of Keysight’s User Equipment (UE) Emulation Solution and Samsung’s new 5G base station based on 5G New Radio (NR) standards.

Wonil Roh, vice president and head of the Technology Strategy Group, Networks Business, Samsung Electronics. “Keysight has delivered a complete end-to-end 5G NR test solution that meets our specific needs, and offers the flexibility to deal with different configurations and test scenarios.”

Keysight Technologies also announced a joint demonstration with Qualcomm Technologies, achieving download speeds upwards of 4Gbps with Keysight’s 5G Protocol R&D Toolset and a 5G mobile test device powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem chipset at Mobile World Congress 2018.

Keysight will also demonstrate the industry’s first 5G 4Ggbs data throughput connection at 28GHz using its 5G mmWave over-the-air (OTA) performance test solution at Mobile World Congress 2018.

The company will also introduce 5G New Radio (NR) signal creation and analysis software tools, designed to accelerate 5G product design development and validation by chipset and device manufacturers

“Keysight partnered early with chipset and device makers to deliver a common set of 5G design and simulation resources that can be used across the 5G ecosystem,” said Kailash Narayanan, vice president and general manager for Keysight’s wireless device and operators group.

In addition, Keysight will demonstrate 5G NR ready device workflow solutions assisting chipset and device manufacturers to accelerate delivery of new 5G NR products to the telecom market.

Keysight also enables engineers at device companies to effectively perform 5G mmWave device validation. Keysight’s 5G non-signaling mmWave transceiver solution covers 28GHz and 39GHz frequency bands.
