CES 2012: Novatel showcases new 4G solutions with OEM Partners and Verizon

array of mobile computing, mobile Internet and media platforms utilizing the
Novatel Wireless Expedite E362 PCI Express Mini Card running on the
Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network at CES 2012.

 

Novatel Wireless has exhibited several new 4G Solutions,
which include Ambient Smart Grid Communication Node, a network device
designed to support utility applications on the distribution grid supporting
Smart Metering, Distribution Automation, Distribution Management, Demand
Response, Distributed Generation and more.

 

Novatel also demonstrated BL healthcare access
tablet, an all-in-one, touchscreen, remote care patient management platform
with Consert Smart Meter, a solution designed to create a more reliable
electric grid.

The company also showcased several other 4G solutions
such as, In Motion In-Vehicle Router/Gateway, Manley Solutions Air
Quality Monitor, Manley Solutions Alarm Panel Tablet,
Seagate Personal Cloud, Systech Financial/POS Gateway,
VGo Robotic Telepresence and TouchTunes Virtuo.

 

The solutions demoed with Novatel Wireless’ embedded
modules are a result of collaborations fostered at Verizon Wireless’ LTE
Innovation Center over the last few years.

 

Verizon established its Innovation Program to
encourage collaboration and help advance the 4G LTE ecosystem. Through the
Innovation Program, Verizon seeks to expand the possibilities of 4G LTE by
working with diverse companies, from start-ups to established players, in
industries representing a broad range of verticals.

 

Recently, Novatel Wireless had announced expansion of its machine-to-machine (M2M) module
portfolio. It added support for CDMA2000 1X and HSDPA with two new modules
leveraging chipsets and ensuring future-proof design and capabilities.
