Arsalon teams with tw telecom to offer disaster recovery services

tw telecom, a provider of managed services, including Business
Ethernet, converged and IP VPN solutions for enterprises throughout the U.S.
and globally, announced that it has teamed with Kansas City-based Internet
infrastructure technology and service provider Arsalon Technologies to offer
customers access to carrier-class data storage, disaster recovery and data
replication services.

“We are pleased to partner with tw telecom to give
customers fast, highly reliable and cost-effective access to our world-class
hosting facilities,” said Gary Hall, founding partner, Arsalon
Technologies.

“We have grown Arsalon by offering customers a more
professional, reliable and affordable way to manage their IT needs, and
partnering with tw telecom gives
our customers access to a highly respected service provider who shares this
vision,” Hall added.

As part of the multi-year agreement, tw telecom
will offer Business Ethernet and Internet connections with burstable capability
to connect Arsalon data centers to tw telecom’s nationwide fiber infrastructure
and IP backbone network with multiple 10 Gbps connectivity.

The tw telecom network offers redundant IP core
architecture, diverse network routes, and strong peering relationships with
regional, national, and international networks to ensure traffic reaches its
destination quickly and reliably.

Arsalon Technologies is a
natural partner for tw telecom,” said Tim Bagnieski, vice president and
general manager for tw telecom in Kansas City. “We are excited to bring a
captive audience to their complete suite of data center products.”

tw telecomconnects
more commercial buildings to its fiber network than any other competitive
communications provider. In fact, it has the third highest market share of
retail Business Ethernet ports in service.

With its own metro fiber networks and one of the ten most
interconnected IP backbones in the world,tw telecom has the national capability, robust product portfolio
and national/local customer care teams to support mission critical enterprise
applications and to deliver the industry’s most sought after customer
experience.

tw telecom recently announced that the Louisiana Optical Network Initiative (LONI)
established
its first IPv6 commercial Internet connection with tw telecom.

This interconnect occurred out of the Shreveport POP
collocated at the LSU HSC Shreveport.  The Internet interconnection
capability was established through IPv4-IPv6 dual stack BGP configurations over
existing tw telecom service.
