CES 2012: Viper unveils SmartStart 3.0, a Cloud-connected car

By Telecom Lead Team: Viper has introduced its Viper

Viper created the smartphone car control category with
its Viper SmartStart, which has been downloaded to more than one million
iPhone, Android and BlackBerry handsets.

“Viper SmartStart 3.0 is going to change the way
people start their day. The new features offer drivers unprecedented
connectivity with their vehicles, and introduce the promise of the
Cloud-connected car, providing a robust, real-time 2-way link between cars and
smartphones,” said Mike Simmons, president of Directed.

Viper SmartStart was the first app that allows users to
affordably start, lock, unlock, locate and monitor their vehicle – all using
their smartphone.

Another new cloud-connected feature of SmartStart 3.0 is
the ability to receive Vehicle Diagnostics, which will be available soon
on selected vehicle installations.

With the release of version 3.0, Viper SmartStart now

enhanced System Status. Users will soon have all the multi-zone control
and customization options found on other Directed premium 2-way remotes, and
will receive status updates with richer feedback.

Viper SmartStart 3.0 will be available soon on iTunes and
