Dharmendra Kumar joins as president of Aruba Networks, India and SAARC

Aruba
Networks, a provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile
enterprise, announced it has named Dharmendra Kumar as president – India and
SAARC. Dharmendra will report in to Gary Jackson, vice president Sales,
Asia-Pacific/ Japan, Aruba Networks.

 

India
is today one of Aruba’s key global growth markets. Dharmendra’s extensive
experience in the Indian networking industry is a significant advantage for us
in maintaining market leadership and further growing our share in the wireless
networking segment.” said Jackson.

 

Dharmendra
brings 22 years of experience to Aruba. Most
recently, he was the Regional Sales Director at EMC with key responsibility for
the storage and backup businesses. He has also served various companies like
Datacraft, Force10 Networks, D-Link, and Cisco.

 

During
his tenure at Force10 Networks, he led the setting up business in India, along
with its channels and distribution network. He was responsible for Cisco
bagging one of it largest MPLS nationwide deployments with the incumbent Telco
and later also established Cisco’s government and defense vertical practice,
growing it to over USD 35 million in just a year.

Dharmendra
holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Engineering from the
National Institute of Technology, Karnataka.

 

Aruba Networks recently launched a
new smartphone- and tablet-based point-of-sale (PoS) solution, to support
the retail migration from static to mobile PoS.
