j2 Global buys Zimo Communications to strengthen presence in cloud voice services

By Telecom Lead Team: j2 Global, a provider of cloud
services for business, has acquired Zimo Communications, a UK-based provider of
Numberstore cloud voice services.

“This acquisition, our third thus far in 2012,
brings us additional voice customers in the UK. We will now work to migrate
these customers onto our existing platforms, providing uninterrupted service
while adding features and leveraging the Numberstore momentum,” said Hemi
Zucker, CEO of j2 Global.

However, the company hasn’t disclosed terms of the
acquisitions and added that the financial impact to j2 Global is not expected
to be material.

j2 Global was founded in 1995 and since then it provides
outsourced, value-added messaging and communications services to individuals
and businesses around the world.

The company’s network spans 49 countries on six
continents. It offers Internet fax, virtual phone, hosted email, email
