Rajeev Mittal joins Avaya from Microsoft to lead India and SAARC business

Telecom Lead India: Global business communications and
collaboration systems and services provider Avaya has appointed Rajeev Mittal
as managing director of India and SAARC. Rajeev joins Avaya from Microsoft
India.

 

The appointment of Mittal is happening at a time when
companies throughout the region are looking to accelerate their businesses with
the latest communications and collaborations offerings.

 

Before joining Avaya, Mittal was with Microsoft India as
its general manager – Small & Mid Market Solutions & Partners
(SMS&P). At Microsoft India, Mittal was responsible for expanding that
company’s business in the mid-market segment, along with managing the Partner
Eco System.   

 

He also worked in senior positions for companies
including Oracle, IBM and Wipro Technologies – both in India and APAC
leadership roles.

Avaya restructures top management by hiring from Cisco and
Aspect

 

Recently, Avaya announced new appointments and changes to
the company’s senior executive committee globally.

 

Marc Randall joins Avaya as senior vice president and
general manager for Avaya Networking. Randall most recently served as vice
president and general manager of Cisco Systems’ Scalable Network Business Unit.
He has also held positions as president and CEO for Force10 Networks and senior
vice president of Brocade Communications.

 

Gary Barnett moves to the executive staff to lead Avaya
Collaboration Infrastructure as senior vice president and general manager.
Prior to Avaya, Barnett held positions as CEO for Prospect Software and
president and CEO for Aspect Communications.
