Telecom Lead India: Indian telecom service providers have
yet again rolled-out special plans to celebrate 65 years of Indian
independence.
In order to mark the celebrations, Aircel has introduced special mobile handset plan, under which it is offering Plan 1508 with combined benefits of a GPRS dual SIM phone along with voice, text & data services.
The Plan 1508 signifies the date of Independence Day, which is 15-08 or 15th August. Available for Rs. 1508, the Plan 1508 offers Alcatel OT 318 GPRS dual SIM phone along with 1508 minutes of local talk time, 1508 National SMSs and 1508 MB of data (2G), all with 90 day validity.
MTNL Mumbai has also jumped into the bandwagon and
announced a special India Independence Day offer for its Trump prepaid
customers (2G and 3G) in Mumbai circle.
Under its special India Independence Day offer, MTNL is
offering two special recharge vouchers, priced at Rs. 65 and Rs 1508. With Rs.
65 recharge offer, users get talk-time of Rs 175, while RC of Rs 1508 will
provide users with benefit of Rs 1,786.
The recharge coupons are only available between August
14-21, through E-Recharge/ flexi recharge from retailers and MTNL Customer
Service Centers (CSC) in Mumbai circle.
Uninor is also offering a special Freedom plan of Rs. 101
for its users in Mumbai circle. Valid for a period of 30 days, the STV of Rs.
101 provides Uninor customers with unlimited calls within same network.
MTS India launches special recharge voucher of Rs 68 for its
voice customers
Sistema Shyam TeleServices (MTS India) has also launched
a special recharge voucher of Rs 68 for its voice customers. The special
voucher will offer talk time worth Rs 75 along with 68 free SMS to all
networks.

India, said celebrating the Spirit of Independence Day, MTS has come up with
the special Recharge Voucher of Rs 68 for its voice customers.
Kuwait’s VIVA, a mobile telecommunications service
provider, has also introduced a special offer for prepaid customers on the
occasion of Indian Independence day.
Under this new plan, VIVA Customers can make calls to
India for 50 fils per minute, after the first three minutes of the call. This
offer will be valid from 15 until 18 August, 2012.
