Telenity announces new CEO


Telenity, a provider of location based
services, social media, mobile marketing and messaging platforms and solutions,
announced that Ahmet Ozalp will be stepping down as chief executive officer
effective.


Ilhan Bagoren, accomplished telecom
entrepreneur with vast technology experience, chairman and co-founder of
Telenity, will become the new CEO.


“This was a change planned for the last
four months and Ilhan Bagoren has been actively involved in the day-to-day
operations of Telenity,
which will ensure a smooth transition period,” said Ahmet Ozalp.


“For the last three years, we have focused
on innovation and created a very exciting set of news products in areas such as
location based services, mobile social networking and mobile marketing. We also
adopted new business and pricing models that positioned us as an even stronger
partner to mobile operators in a wide range of geographies including India,
Turkey, Eastern Europe and Middle East and Africa (MEA) regions. Ilhan’s
presence at R&D center in Istanbul and his pioneering leadership and
experience will help us focus further on our execution and accelerate our
growth,” Ozlap added.


“We have an excellent team, a large and
distinguished group of customers and a very attractive portfolio of
ground-breaking products. I already see our investment in innovation and
R&D in the last few years starting to pay off in terms of early customer
interest and feedback. We are looking forward to publicly announcing several
new products and services in the upcoming Mobile World Congress during February
27-March 1, 2012. This next phase will be very rewarding for Telenity and its
existing and new customers,” said Ilhan Bagoren.


Ahmet Ozalp will remain as a member of the
Board of Directors at Telenity and will continue his full time career as a
business executive in an Internet technology company, in San Mateo, California.
