LG and Mobile Content Venture to showcase Android smartphone with Dyle mobile TV service

Telecom Lead America: LG Electronics and Mobile
Content Venture (MCV) have announced that they are showcasing new LG Android
smartphone with the Dyle mobile TV service, powered by MCV, at National
Association of Broadcasters’ convention.

 

Dyle Mobile TV is the consumer-facing brand that delivers
live mobile television content from 15 major broadcast groups including Pearl
(Belo, Cox Media Group, E.W. Scripps, Gannett Broadcasting, Hearst Television,
Media General, Meredith, Post-Newsweek Stations and Raycom Media) as well as
Fox, ION Television, Univision, Bahakel, Telemundo and NBC.

can advance the adoption of this game-changing technology. LG’s mobile
broadcast technology helps us offer more devices enabled with Dyle mobile TV to
a wider footprint across the U.S., giving consumers additional options to watch
live, local TV,” said Salil Dalvi and Erik Moreno, co-general managers of
MCV.

 

LG’s prototype Dyle-compatible device is based on the company’s
global Optimus Vu platform and boasts a stunning 5-inch diagonal high-definition
screen. The new phone utilizes the A/153 ATSC Mobile DTV Standard, co-developed
by LG Electronics.

Belkin and Mobile Content Venture team to offer Dyle Mobile TV
broadcast signals

 

Belkin, a provider of consumer electronics solutions, and
Mobile Content Venture  partnered to offer smartphone and tablet users to
watch live broadcast programming on-the-go through MCV’s Dyle Mobile TV.
