EXFO demonstrates 40G/100G optical and multiservice testing solutions

By Telecom Lead Team: EXFO will showcase 40G/100G
high-speed testing solution designed to help system manufacturers reduce time
to market and network service providers roll out high-speed services.

EXFO will showcase the comprehensive 100G multiservice
test solution at OFC/NFOEC 2012, March 6-8, 2012, in Los Angeles, California.

The FTB-85100G packet blazer 100G/40G Ethernet and OTN
test module and FTB-8130NGE power blazer next-generation multiservice test
module enable operators to upgrade their networks to 40G/100G while addressing
10G and lower-rate services. With EXFO’s new solution, network operators can
count on the tools they need for simultaneous testing of different services to
ensure turn-up efficiency.

The company said in a press release that EXFO’s OTN test
functionalities that were demonstrated at the Optical Internetworking Forum
(OIF) Ethernet over OTN Interoperability event will also be on display at the
OIF booth.

EXFO is one of the twelve OIF member companies that
conducted the global interoperability test, and its solution was used to
characterize the Ethernet services running over the OTN data plane.

EXFO will introduce the addition of the IQS-5240S/BP
Optical Spectrum Analyzer test modules to its Windows-based IQS-600 platform, a
modular system designed for R&D and manufacturing that provides optical,
transport and datacom testing in a single environment.

The recently launched IQS-5240S/B-P Optical Spectrum
Analyzer series brings all the proven hardware and software features of the
industry-leading FTB-5240S/BP to lab researchers and network equipment
manufacturers.

EXFO
will showcase for the first time the new WDM-Aware testing, n-graph peak
detection level and SCPI command capabilities on its FTB-5240S/B-P Optical
Spectrum Analyzers. These added functionalities enable network operators to
address some of their biggest challenges, such as reducing OPEX, removing the
uncertainty of test results, and testing right the first time.
